Busy weekend

Hi everyone, let me tell you about my very busy weekend. Saturday morning mom and I were up so early that we saw the sun rise. It was pretty and in the meantime we were eating our breakfast. Then, time to go to the library morning story time. They had a circus book theme this time. I listened patiently to 2 books, then I was off playing. There were way too many fun things in that room to sit still!
We were busy going to the book shop and shopping at Target in the afternoon, and then in the evening, I had a new dinner guest. It was Svarten that came to join me for a bowl full of fruit and vegetables.
Then, I went for a ride on my green horse. It is a very good horse, who sometimes can transform into a train as well. Daddy, Mojo and Kanin joined me for the ride.
Sunday morning we went to the Art Institute. They had a day of art and fun for kids. We went with our neighbors; Joanna, Ross and my friend Bella.
They had a really fun puppet play. I laughed and laughed!
It was grandpa's birthday. And, even though you can't see it in this photo, I will let you in on a secret: there was a dog hidden in the cake!!
Here I am with my friend Bella. As I'm sure you can see I'm saying "cheeese" on this picture. I like cheese a lot, do you?
They also had a lot of fun instruments that you could play. I really liked the drum.
The xylophone was also fun. It sounded great.
The whole weekend I have been pulling my "pulka" (=slide) around because Svarten, Mojo and the rabbits really wanted to go for a ride. Also, it was Mojo's birthday yesterday, I declared! Today I decided it was my daycare teacher Megan's birthday and I made her a bowl of plastic fruit. She also got some of my mom's bracelets. Happy birthday Mojo and Megan!

Pancake breakfast and Chloe's birthday party

Last Saturday we had pancakes for breakfast. It's not that often that mom makes them so I was very excited about it!
Add some strawberries, jam and whipped cream...
...and roll it all up!
Yummy!
Saturday afternoon it was my friend Chloe's birthday. She turned 3 years old and had invited me and her other friends to a princess party!
All girls got a little silver crown to wear on their heads and all boys got a plastic sword.
At the end of the party we all got goodie bags and a balloon. Yeah, what a great time it had been!

New hair style

I got I new hairstyle today in the bath. What do you think about it?
For dinner I had two guests today, Kaninen and Mojo. I think my appetite was way better than theirs, but I still enjoyed their company.

Pizza makers

Today mom and I made pizza for dinner and since you were not able to join us I thought I should tell you how I went about making my own little pizza pie.
1. Once the dough is done, roll, roll, roll, with the rolling pin until you have a round pizza ready to go (I'm sorry to say that I have not yet mastered swinging the dough over my head like the pizza makers in town, but mom doesn't know how to do that either so I don't feel so bad about it).
2. Add tomato sauce
3. Add sausage, chicken and LOT of cheeese!
4. Into the oven for about 15-20 min, and voilà the pizza is done!
5. Eat it! Well, I guess at first I was a bit hesitant about eating and kept picking it apart instead....
....but I finally decided to dig in! Bon appetit!

Winter Wonderland

This past weekend mom and I went to lake Calhoun to go sledding. It was the first time that I tried my new red sled (or pulka as you say in Swedish). The weather was sunny and beautiful, but it was freezing cold. Lucky that I had my snowpants and thick winter jacket on!
Wow, what a fun ride down the hill. I wanted to go over and over again, but mom didn't have the energy to push me up more than a couple of times since the hill was steep and I guess it's pretty hard to push when the snow is so deep. In any case, we both had fun. Let's do it again sometime soon!
We also had lunch with Lisa and Scott at the Vietnamese restaurant in Uptown. They are both so great to hang out with. Here we are all saying "cheese"!

Happy New Year 2010!

Happy New Year 2010 to you all! A new year in my life and a new year for my blog. I hope to write often to let you know what I'm doing and also what new things I'm trying out.
Christmas is over, but I we wanted to have one last night with the beautiful snowglobes and the decorated tree.
My dinner tonight: Corn on the cob, potato gratin, fried sausages and some mixed vegetables.
My little puppy, Mojo, was also very hungry. He also got some corn, and other plastic vegetables.
We quite enjoy eating dinner together. More corn Mojo? You can have some of mine if you like.
Yesterday mom and I had baked some apple pie for new years and there was plenty left for desert tonight. I finished my portion. Yum!
Among other things we had lobster tails and steak yesterday night for our New Year's dinner. Really good. My dad can cook well!
Mom and I are baking apple pie.
I'm very good at this. I poured all the ingredients into the bowl with just a little help from mom.
On the 30th of Dec. I went to see my friend Chloe. We had a lot of fun playing in her room and we also helped making a potato gratin. Chole's mom Kenya made cookies and they tasted great!
Grandma had to go home today. I was sad. I will really miss her! We had so much fun together. Here we are going for a ride on the merry-go-round at Mall of America. Ama, please come back soon to visit again!
