Last goodbyes

Saturday morning we went to an indoor playground with our friends and neighbors Bella, Joanna and Ross. Bella and I had such a great time at the playground. Just look at this photo. All I can say is: Add more balls!

There was also slides and climbing towers and all kinds of amazing play-structures. I didn't want to leave and had to be tricked to finally agree to go and have some lunch.

What a nice lunch, in a Tai restaurant that is owned by Bella's aunt. The food was sooo good!

And I got a lollipop for dessert! Then it was time to say goodbye. So sad. But I think they will come and visit us this summer in Grand Rapids.
In the evening we had dinner with Lisa and Scott. Now it's time to take off very soon. We leave tomorrow morning. Bye bye Minnesota! Hello Michigan!

We are moving this week

It's the week of the move. Tuesday night mom and dad have invited friends over for a last little goodbye get-together. I had so much fun with my friends Chole, Zander and Eva. Later on I also got to meet Brody. It was so much fun!

Here is one of mom's appetizers. She insisted I display a couple of photos of her hard labor, even though I was more interested in playing than eating.

Here is another appetizer. Is that it now, mom? Can I show a picture of my friends next?

OK, good. Here we are; Chole (left), Zander (right) and I'm in the middle.

Thursday when mom and dad picked me up from daycare we took a picture with a few of my best friends; from left: Louisa, Elsie, Ethan and Soren.

That evening when I came home all of our things were packed in boxes, including all my toys! I said: "What happened?"

But then I found out that it was quite fun to play among all the boxes. I made a little playhouse in the middle of them all and used the boxes as walls.

Friday the 26th of March; time to say goodbye at my daycare. Mom brought in a cake that we had bought. It said "It's been fabulous! I will miss you! Elsie". The cake is already cut in this picture so it's a bit hard to read, but I'm sure you can see that it's a good tasting cake.

Mmmm, not bad at all!

What do you think Ethan? Yummy, right!?

My beloved Megan. How I will miss her! I don't think I really understand that we are leaving yet, but mom did tell me about it and it made me sad.

Steven and I. He is great. I always says "common guys" and now I tell mom and dad when they are slow to get going "common now guys!"

Wow, what is this? Friday evening when I get back from daycare our place is completely empty! Not even a single box left. Hmmm, where did all of it go?

Only the kitchen table left. I asked mom "but where is my chair?". She said it's on it's way to Grand Rapids but that didn't make that much sense to me.

So, tonight we are sleeping on a mattress that our neighbor Jacquelyn has been so nice to lend us. We also bought a giant sleeping bag that we can all fit into. I guess that will work for 2 nights.

Breakfast and lunch with friends

Today we were invited to our neighbors, Jacqueline and Dave's place for breakfast. They had made great food; fruit and berry sallad, quiche and a great pecan cake. Yummy!

I played with their cat, Mr. Kaboodle, a lot, and I was very active. Almost over-active mom thought since I was running back and fourth and jumping up and down. I was just so excited to be in a new, fun place and Jacquelyn and Dave are sooo nice!

In the afternoon we were invited to Lisa's and Scott's house for BBQ lunch. It was so much fun to play with their dog, Mojo, although I was a little scared of him too.

Scott and Lisa taught me how to feed him and I learnt to tell him: "Sit Mojo" and "Good boy, Mojo". When I got home I built a house underneath mom's work-desk and declared that it was Elsie's, Lisa's and Scott's house. But, I added to mom, you can come too if you like.

The Princess and the urban girl

On Friday evening my friend Bella dropped by and I got a great goodbye gift; a princess dress. Bella also had her princess dress on so we started dancing together and playing that we were Cinderella. I had gotten a pair of bunny ears from mom to wear on Easter and I added them to my outfit. A Cinderella-bunny, perhaps?

Saturday I was wearing a cool dress I got from my grandpa in Taiwan. I accessorized with leggings, heart beanie and suede boots. Ready for a Target run!

House hunting in Michigan

Mom has gotten a new job in Michigan so we will be moving away from Minneapolis soon. I don't really understand this move-thing just yet, but we had a very good time house-hunting in Grand Rapids and a little town called Holland. We had beautiful weather during our road trip...
...and I was in a great mood! Which was good, because the trip took 12 hours!!
The breakfast buffet at the hotel was very good. I had something different almost every day.
We looked at tons of houses, but mom and dad finally decided on this one. It's in East Grand Rapids, close to the Gaslight Village and a beautiful lake.
We loved the hard wood floors. I tested running on them, round and around I went!
The kitchen is a little older, but it will be just fine, and we could always upgrade a little if needed.
Hello, welcome to my new room...
...well, it's a bit empty at the moment, but you just wait. It will be fabulous!
After all that house-hunting I was exhausted and I slept like a rock all night. My sleeping position? Well, it's my yoga sleeping. I call this one "Half-Tortoise Pose with Upward-facing Dog".
Although the schedule was extremely hectic there was a little time for me to play as well. The swings in Grand Rapids are not bad.
This was the best! Just look at that car that is attached to the cart in the grocery store. Have you ever seen a better invention. Now, if only mom and dad had let me try all the different colors. Next time I'm going for a blue one!
We also found a new daycare for me. It's called Creative Learning Center. Here I am with Lisa, the program director. She was so nice! I had a great time playing and didn't want to leave.
At the entrance the daycare has an aquarium that was so much fun to look at!
We really liked the daycare building too!
Now it was time to head back to Minneapolis. Bye, bye Grand Rapids, we will see you soon!
We stopped a couple of times to eat on the way home, but it felt like the trip was a bit faster on the way home.
The weather was gray and boring...
...but I slept a lot of the time so it didn't bother me. Goodnight everyone, see you next time.
