The many uses of a colander

1. Bucket to put almost anything in.
2. A seat
3. A funny hat!
4. Hide and seek. Peek-a-boo!

Breakfast at our friends house

This week it has been very hot in Minneapolis. On most days I wear skirts or shorts now. We spend a lot of time outdoors at daycare. Every Tuesday we go to the pool to swim. I love that!
On mom's job there was a cooking competition on Friday. Mom made deviled eggs. They were really good, but unfortunately she didn't win. Looks nice though, right?
Saturday morning we were invited to the Sperrazzas for breakfast. They live really close to us. Eva and I used to be at the same daycare but Eva moved a while ago. We had a lot of fun playing in Eva's new room. It is really big, and she even has her own slide! As you can imagine I had tons of fun!
Then we all walked to the farmers market by the Guthrie theatre.
They had home made lemonade, organic strawberries, chocolate and lots more!
I got strawberry lemonade!
The farmers market is partly in-doors and partly outdoors. It's a really nice space!
Here is Nick, Eva and Quynh. Thanks for a great morning!

Midsummer celebration!

Midsummer day; in the morning mom and I went to the library to the story time. Afterwards I played with the other kids. In the story time room they have a whole box full of toys!
Midsummer celebration at the Swedish Institute. I got a yellow balloon! We also ate a Midsummer lunch there. We all had different things. I had meatballs, daddy had Swedish hotdog and mom had "sill" (=pickled herring).
It was extremely hot and we sweated in the scoring sun! Mom kept on putting sunscreen on me but we still all got tanned. Mom burned her shoulders since she forgot to put sunscreen there.
Waiting in the hot sun for "Midsommarstången" (=the may pole) to be raised.
Wow, here it goes. We all counted: 1, 2, 3, oooo hej!
Then we danced around the may pole. Prästens lilla kråka, Vi äro musikanter and my favorite; Små Grodorna. Moms friend Margo was also there with her son Santiago. Look at us all dancing!

Lake Calhoun

On Saturday the 13th of June the weather was gorgeous and we went to lake Calhoun to have some beach fun. Mom and I went on the swing. I loved it so much I never wanted to stop!
Then I played with my little watering can in the water.
In the evening we decided to grill on the roof. Mom and I waited while dad grilled corn, chicken and sausages on the big grill. I had some carrots and cucumber to tie me over.
Mmm, looks good daddy!
I'm crazy about corn!

Lake Elmo

On Sunday the 14th of June we went to Lake Elmo Park Reserve.
Mom, dad and friends were preparing a BBQ lunch while I played around with Zander. We had fun with the frisbee.
Mmmm, I loved the hamburger and bread. It was a lot of fun eating outdoors!
I also took a little dip in the man-made Lake in the park. The water was rather cold and I'm not really sure I like the feeling of the sand under my feet, but it was fun playing in the water for a while non the less.

I love to SLIDE!

I loved to go on the slide at the Children's museum! I think I went at least 20 times! And I figured out how to get up myself too!

Rainy days

This weekend was rainy and cold. Mom and dad decided they wanted a little "mom and dad time" and went to the bookshop while I was taking my nap. I fell asleep almost immediately with my rabbit next to me.
When I woke up it was 2 hours later and it was time to go grocery shopping. I was ready to go. I was holding mom's bag (väska in Swedish which I call bisak for no particular reason). I wish I had my own bag.
On Sunday we went to Grand Old Days in St. Paul. It's a festival where they have tons of stands and cute little animals to look at ect. I liked looking at the little baby kangaroos. But, it was really cold so we didn't stay for that long.
Look at how many people were at Grand St!! Wow, Twin-city people are really dedicated to outings!
Since it was so cold outdoors we went to the Children's museum instead. Of course I went painting and then into the shop. Let me see now, what do I need to make a great meal?
I also loved the water play! Yeah, bubbles!
