Coffee and Late Lusse celebration

Today we had a late Lusse get together. Kristen, Zander and Darwish came over to visit. We enjoyed Lussekatter, gingerbread cookies and blueberry muffins.
Then Zander and I decorated gingerbread cookies.
We used a lot of sprinkles (lots and lots of sprinkles!!).
I had to try one cookie right away. It was not quite dry yet, but still tasted good! I also got to smear some red icing on the white armchair (mommy cleaned it up pretty easily though).
We also made smällkarameller. We filled them with chocolate and also wrote little Happy New Year fortunes that we included as well.
And we made starboy hats! Look how cute we are!
Of course I didn't want to keep the hat on that long. After that photo is done this hat is coming off!

Winter Wonderland

Yesterday was a gorgeous winter day and we decided to go for a walk at Lake Calhoun.
We dressed as warm as we could, but oh my, was it cold!!
I was OK since I was bundled up in a bunting bag. I kept taking my gloves off all the time, just so that I could see mommy and daddy freezing their hands off while putting them back on my hands. I thought it was very funny!
I had lots of fun playing at home too. Hello there! Guess how's behind the glass lamp?

Christmas day morning

Here I am with my Christmas presents. I'm wearing a new outfit I got. You can also see the nice little chair that I got from my Grandma Grace. I have been playing with it a lot already today. I also got cute little mittens from my Grandma Ingela and some bathtoys and clothes.
I'm in such a good mood today. How fun to play with mom and dad all day now when they have the week off!

My Christmas eve

In the evening it was time to eat our "julbord". We had Janson's frestelse, meatballs, sausage, sillsallad, deviled eggs, creamed spinach and broccoli, one of my favorite foods (not a Christmas food? Well, it can't be helped, I still want it).
Mmmm, broccoli! I ate a whole plate full, and lots of meatballs too.
Then it was time to open the presents. This one looks nice.
I got a really nice little chair and some bath toys that I started to play with. I also got the red sweater I'm wearing. Starting to get a bit tired in this picture though....
I played a little bit with the tree ornaments and then it was time for me to go to bed.

Nu är det jul igen!

4th of Advent was this past Sunday and today is Christmas eve. I woke up early (as usual), but today we had a special Christmas breakfast together.
Mom had made the Swedish "risgrynsgröt". There is cinnamon on top. Mmm, smells good!
I loved it! So good. More please!
After breakfast there was a surprise for me in the Christmas stocking.
It was hard to get the present out, but I finally managed! I got a fun ABC book. Hope to learn some new words soon.
Look at me, I'm dancing to the Christmas music!
Come back and visit my blog soon. I will upload more Christmas fun!

Late Lucia

3rd of Advent and Lucia came late to our house. Mom was traveling last weekend, so Lucia had to be postponed. Mom had decided to have a little Lucia get together this day but....
...look what crazy snowy weather we got! None of the other moms and kids were able to make it in the snow frenzy. There were lots of accidents on the roads today so I guess it was for the best.
All the Lucia goodies were prepared already so we could still dig in. Lussekatt och pepparkaka anyone?
I quite liked the Lussekatt myself. I had a Lucia gown on, and I even wore the glitter in my hair for a few minutes while mommy took my photo.
Mmmm, lussebulle!
Mom was also a Lucia when she was a little girl and here to the right is a picture of her first Lucia. She was only half a year on this picture.
We really enjoyed our breakfast together. Even though the weather was so stormy outside, inside our place was warm and cozy.
We had decorated with some Swedish Christmas pictures that my grandma in Sweden sent. It looks pretty festive in our house now!

2nd of Advent

Today is second of Advent and we lit 2 candles for breakfast.
I can eat with spoon myself now, at least some of the time. Check out my Tomtebobarnen plate that I got from my grandaunt Annika and my mom's cousins in Sweden. Cute, right?
We went out to shop for the last Christmas presents and when we got home I helped with getting the wrapping paper.

Santa's little helper

Yesterday mommy decided we should take a photo of me in a Santa hat for the Christmas card she is working on. I was game (at least to start with). This is a nice pose, right? Daddy, get your hand out of the photo!
Ah, the hat came off. Nice, it is soooo itchy! Oh, I'm too close to the camera, really?
Stupid, stupid hat, why do they keep putting it on, and no, the ball doesn't make it better!
Ah, I'm really sick of this and now the hat is broken too.
Enough already, let's go with that first one. We can retouch dad's hand out.
