Snow, snow, snow

Grand Raids is snowy and cold. It feels like we already have had winter for a very long time, but mom says there is still many more weeks left of winter before the Spring will get here. I don't mind though. I love to play in the snow. Today we went to the play park just across the street from our house. Dad and I went first and mom joined us later.

We went for many rides down the little hill. Here I'm with my mom. She also likes going on the sled. Weee, here we go!

Christmas recap

Well, Christmas is long passed, and mom has not had the time to update my blog for quite a while, but even though it's end of January already I wanted to give you all a recap from this year's Christmas celebration. This year was a very special holiday because we went to Sweden to see my cousins, and above all, to welcome my new little cousin, Vidar! Here is he with my aunt Sara and uncle Steven. He is so cute!

The Christmas food was fantastic, as always! I don't really know how Sara and Steven had the time to prepare it all since Vidar arrived just a few days before Christmas, but they still did.

I wasn't afraid of Santa (jultomten), but I did keep a little distance. My cousin Ebba was not afraid at all. She seemed to really know that Santa. How could that be?

Vidar was sent from lap to lap. Here he is in uncle Hans lap. He looks quite at home. Looks very cosy, don't you think?

Here he is in Barbo's lap. He likes it there too.

I'm not sure he likes my mom's lap as much (somehow he doesn't look quite as happy), but my mom was in awe of him. Hmmm, I don't want to admit it, but I'm a bit jealous!

We all liked to hang out with uncle Steven. His lap is very cosy and we could all fit there.

We watched a lot of fun shows on TV and that was cosy too.

Then one day my mom thought that we should bake some cookies. "First, let's make chocolate balls" said Ebba, and so we did.

Mmmmm, even though we ate plenty of chocolate dough, the finished balls disappeared quite quickly. How's little hand is that?

Then, time for strawberry jam cookies. As you can see Ebba and I were good little helpers...The spoons in our mouths? Well, of course we had to try the jam before we used it...just to make sure it was good enough. That's standard procedure, didn't you know that?

Mmmm, finished cookies!

Vidar is soooo cute! Here is is sleeping with a little penguin he got from me as a Christmas present.

Ebba, Inez and I had so much fun together. Here are Ebba and I in the kitchen. We had a lot of fun there, making little tents, and doing crafts on the kitchen table.

One day we went to Junibacken. This is a fun-land in the middle of Stockholm where you can visit the story land of Astrid Lindgren.

Ebba and I got to try riding on Lilla Gubben, Pippi Longstocking's horse.

My mom and Ebba likes to play a lot. They danced to Abba almost every day of our visit.

Autoshow in Detroit

Last weekend we went to see the Auto Show in Detroit. It's the most famous auto show in all of the US so my dad was quite excited (did I tell you all he really likes cars a lot!).

I was happy too, because it was really fun to try all the cars. I was allowed to sit in almost anyone of them, and believe me, I did!

Here I am in a red, sporty Fiat 500. I liked it a lot. Felt quite right in size!

But I have to admit, BMW is quite nice too. What do you think dad, is this the car for me?

The Mini booth was very cool with graphics all over the walls.

Their new concept car was also fun to watch. They had built a special platform that looked like a tunnel for it. Then, after a few hours it was time to head back to Grand Rapids. What a great day we had!
